YARNIVAL!!

Welcome to the January 2008 Edition of Yarnival! It’s the beginning of a new year and many of us take the time to make resolutions for the coming year, or to reflect on the past and see what we can do different in the coming year. The submissions for this edition really makes offers up perfect stories to sit back and start the day with. Enjoy!

Having seen this beautiful sweater all over blogland, I was curious to read how others accomplished this feat. Loribird talks about her adventure in knitting the Kauni sweater. Read all about it at  My Damask Kauni « Passing Down Crazy posted at Passing Down Crazy.

The fabulous trek  digs deep and talks about how knitting is a metaphor for life. Make a cup of tea or coffee, sit back and savor  trek casts on: Analogy posted at trek casts on.

Leslie  takes a good hard look at what it means to really be Green in her post the Pidge and being ?green? posted at quenouille. I tell you, it really made me sit back and think about how I approach the environment and the resources we use.

In honor of knitting a favorite son his first sweater, Carina spins a delightful tale about yarn that is sad because he knows that he should be part of a sweater.  Riverwalk Yarns: A Tale of Five Needles posted at Riverwalk Yarns.

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of

On a whim this morning I decided to look up the latest Yarnival! issue. And what do you know, it was compiled by the person I’m delivering the Koigu to! I liked this issue; I’m very intrigued by the Pidge discussion.
